Why the program matters?
For those who have not yet committed to a trade pathway or lack exposure to what working in a trade involves. Someone who struggles to engage with traditional VET pathways due to low confidence, limited exposure, or learning challenges. This program fills that gap, giving firsthand experience using fundamental tools, working with real materials, and building confidence to pursue further VET or apprenticeship placements.
Feedback from local youth workers, tradies, and education professionals confirms a strong demand for this type of “pre-apprenticeship readiness” training.
